In their own words...

PRESBY'S INSPIRED LIFE COMMUNITY SUPPORT CENTER

In my specific role that crosses from Philanthropy to Operations I have often found it helpful to review TCI information regarding simple tasks like reading the financial statements with more intelligence, to using the concepts that were shared about fund raising and the advice given on current best practices.  I think TCI really enforced my commitment to using budget dollars for relationship building primarily as opposed to image building (like direct mail pieces and “events”).  These decisions have been really fruitful for my role here.

Another awesome presentation! Are all these days going to be spent like this? The excitement is lasting all week. I look forward to the upcoming weeks to be just as intriguing and informative. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Thank you once again for helping to put this together.

For me, I am more excited than I ever thought I would be to be taking a continuing education class as a Director. While I went to seminary and worked in churches for over 10 years, the non-profit world is a different venue, and to be getting education and knowledge that pertains specifically to being a non-profit Director is invaluable. It has been great to network and t
alk with others in the non-profit sector, to share frustrations, joys, and ideas. So far, the speakers have not only been knowledgeable, but dynamic and engaging. I find myself not wanting the 3 hours to be over. The balance between our Christian faith and the day to day responsibilities of running a non-profit has been excellent - sometimes I find Christian run programs tend to be more 'fluff' than content, but TCI does a great job of balancing and intertwining our faith and our desire to be excellent at what we do. I am especially looking forward to the sessions on Fundraising, as for me that is the biggest growing edge and a new responsibility that I am trying to take on.

Thank you Rev. Sam for such an awesome Strategic Planning work-shop yesterday. We definitely did a lot of WORK. Your leadership was impeccable!  Your help was critical to help me wrapping my brain around the magnitude of what we are attempting to accomplish. Thank you again for the professional manner in which you lead us.

THE RECOVERY CHRISTIAN CENTER
Our experience at the Center for Christian Nonprofit Excellence was just that, excellent. As the pastor of a new ministry, the instruction we received was vital to assisting us in setting all of the organizational structures necessary to operate in a legal and successful manner. It helped us avoid many of the common legal pitfalls associated with running a nonprofit and helped us set up best practices for running the organization. The practical knowledge surrounding board development, strategic planning, funding and basic accounting and auditing procedures was extremely useful and will cause us to completely rethink how we do business. We are grateful to CCNE for setting us on the right path to being good stewards of God's vision for us.

Rev. Dr. Christobal Miguel Kimmenez, PhD
Founder and Senior Pastor
